Other Information:
"If All Arkansas Read the Same Book" is an annual, statewide reading program designed to encourage the enjoyment of reading and to promote book discussion in libraries of all types across Arkansas. Events for the project occur during the fall of each year and typically culminate in an author tour. This year, we'll be hosting author Lisa Wingate as she discusses her novel, "Before We Were Yours".

"Before We Were Yours" is a historical fiction novel based on one of America's most notorious real-life scandals - in which Georgia Tann, director of a Memphis-based adoption organization, kidnapped and sold poor children to wealthy families all over the country.

Refreshments served by the Bookworms Cafe at the Library.

Bio: A former journalist, inspirational speaker, and New York Times Bestselling Author of thirty novels. She was inspired to become a writer by a first-grade teacher who said she expected to see Lisa's name in a magazine one day. She divides her time between Texas and the Ouachita Mountains of southwest Arkansas.
